Speed-Quote must be installed from a Windows user account that has administrator rights. Please log into Windows using an Administrator privilege account prior to installing the program.

 

Once installed, the administrator should also insure that the desired user account has NTFS security permission for "Modify" and "Write" to the Speed-Quote directory as follows:

 

1.Click with the right mouse button on the root Speed-Quote directory (by default C:\SQEnterprise) and select 'Properties'.
2.From the top of the properties window, select the 'Security' tab.
3.Insure that the group or account of the desired user has Modify, Read & Execute, List Folder Contents, Read, and Write permissions checked.

 

On some systems, we have found that certain anti-virus software causes conflicts with the installation program. If you are experiencing problems with the Speed-Quote setup program, we suggest disabling any anti-virus programs.

 

1.Before disabling the anti-virus software, you should use the 'Shut Down' procedure to restart the computer (see your Windows instructions for more information).
2.Once Windows has re-booted, shut down your virus checking software (see your anti-virus software manual for more information).
3.Run the Speed-Quote installation program again.
4.Once Speed-Quote is installed, re-start your virus checking software (see your anti-virus software manual for more information).
