Welcome to Speed-Quote Enterprise Edition Server Version.

Server edition was designed to allow multiple users to access the same information concurrently.  In order for a Speed-Quote user to access this data a Speed-Quote "Server" needs to be running.  The server may be run two different ways.  On Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or Windows 7 it can be installed as an NT Service.  On any Windows 98 or later system it can run as a regular program.  We recommend that the server be installed as an NT Service.  This allows it to run without any user being logged into the server computer.

The client versions of Speed-Quote communicate with the server through TCP/IP.  The default port is 11000.

Once the server is installed and running users need to be set up with the Server Administration program (SQAdmin.exe).
